We stayed at Rixos towards the last week of April 2024, I am frankly surprised that this establishment is a 5 star hotel. The rooms were extremely dirty and outdated, the Tv was old and there was dust everywhere in the room. We were happy with the service from the staff who were all friendly and pro-active. The buffet was limited and very often offered the same food each day. Kids club, Beach and the other pools and amenities were good and what you expect from any resort. But overall i would say there are definitely better hotels to stay especially in a place like Dubai. We didn't feel as if we received our money's worth . I would recommend everyone who's booking at the rixos to please ensure you get a refurbished room and do not rely on the buffets as they are so standard and tasteless

Expectations from the Rixos the palm were very high but did not get that in reality.

Well the hotel itself is good. Although there are many minuses but can live with it. But as I see staying with small kids is not a good experience here at Rixos. Food available is not for small babies. Baby food available is only vegetables in glass jars. Only once chicken and rice was available. Whenever we ask for the chicken and rice we get a reply that it is finished. Blenders are available but they also do not work all the time. There are mosquitoes everywhere. My kids have mosquito bites on whole bodies and we complained about it but no measures were taken. Room air conditioners are working not as per the given temperature. Either very cold or very warm.

I have stayed at so many hotels in Dubai and this has been the worst. The hotel is generally very dated, the rooms are dark and dull, the wood in the bathroom had warped, it was very tired. The cleaning service is close to non existent, we would get back to our room at 5pm to shower and the cleaners hadn’t even been to clean the room and change the towels, when we called reception they would say we will send the cleaners to you now, which was useless to us as we all needed to get showered and ready to go out, in 9 days I think our room was cleaned 3 times. Every time we told the manager we were unhappy with the room cleaning he would offer us to change rooms to a newer room which was the same size. Firstly that would not help improve the cleaning service, and secondly who really wants to move rooms once your all unpacked and have 2 small children. The food in the buffet is the same everyday, and the selection of food is very poor. The head chef admited to us that they cater for the Russians, so if your British don’t bother, no Brit eats chicken nuggets and chips for breakfast! There’s no pizzas for kids at lunch time or sandwiches around the pool, it’s really bland. The ala carte restaurants are nice but you can only eat at these 3 times unless you complain about the food then they will book you the restaurants for every night, crazy really! The pool area is dated too, the service around the pool is so slow it’s quicker to stand at the bar and order a drink then wait for the waiters to bring it. The fruit hut is a positive as you can get cut up fruit around the pool, but no lunches can be eaten around the pool, you have to go an sit at one of the restaurants for lunch. We stayed at the rixos Abu Dhabi which was so lovely and this hotel was nothing like it, I would never say this hotel is 5 stars! Please look at other options before booking, there are far nicer hotels in Dubai, this was not a cheap holiday so we were very disappointed. The best part was being greeted by Jarvid in reception each day, such a lovely friendly person. Rixos dubai - you have a lot of work to do to make this a good hotel, I gave you feedback while I stayed with you and I think it’s only fair that others thinking of booking get to hear the feedback too.

I visited rixos palm hotel all staff everytime smiling, cleaning not too much good but little nice i think cleaning could be more better (talking about room cleaning) i dont like swimming pool because too much children use it but i like sea i think sea more better

In all honesty, I was a bit disappointed with this hotel. The rooms look tired and the dark wood furniture & floors are dated. I booked a premium sea view room and whilst we had a partial sea view, it was half obstructed by a building in front of our balcony. Housekeeping seemed fairly non existent - after 2 days I had to request that our room be cleaned and we have replacement towels as housekeeping hadn't serviced our room. We stayed for 5 nights but never had our bed linen changed and the bed was made terribly. Just not the level of service you expect at a 5* hotel. We didn't particularly enjoy the food, unfortunately, and it was more or less the same things every day for lunch and dinner. We did enjoy the Italian restaurant but the steak one was rubbish. The staff are very friendly, helpful & efficient.
